Crack Seller Kills For self defense

The 19 year old Homewood woman, Karena Dorsey shoot her customer ho used to buy cocaine from her. She said that it is a self defense case.

The guy stole some cash from her, and she wentto find him and asked him to return the drug, but he refused.

Karena said she fought that he had a gun... She just pulled out her pistol (22-caliber gun without a license)and shot twice at his leg, because she thought he was going to kill her.

Unfortunately for her, Dwayne Rankin didn't have any weapon in his hands... After that, he kept coming on her, and she shot agin twice: one bullet to the chest, and on to the head.

I think it's really difficult to claim self defense in this case, and unrealistic.

Assistant District Attorney Michael Sullivan portrayed the shooting as a straightforward, first-degree murder.

"This is not a self-defense case. This was an execution," he said. "The commonwealth has shown beyond a reasonable doubt that she went there intending to inflict deadly harm.
