Bruce Lee's Quote

Here is a quote of Bruce lee I've just found while surfing on the net:

A fight is not won by one punch or kick. Either learn to endure or hire a bodyguard.

Forget about winning and losing; forget about pride and pain. Let your opponent graze your skin and you smash into his flesh; let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones; let him fracture your bones and you take his life. Do not be concerned with escaping safely - lay your life before him.

It reflects exactly the kind of Philosophy we had while training silat with Charles Joussot in France.

We were conditionning our body everday, because when you enter in a fight you must be tough, and expect to be hurt. you don't just wait this to happen, but you prepare yourself for that moment.

If he punches you, you break his arm, and so on...

If you have beatiful quotes related to fighting or toughness, you can let them in the comments.

Warning: Do not try it unless you are well trained for that. You know that my advice for people who find themselves in a dangeroussituation is to run like a mad.

P.S: I am currently writing a book on Self Defense Reality , I can't reveal the title yet, but it will be awesome. You can get on the priority notification list by putting your name and email in the box on the right of this blog.

5 killed in latest New Orleans shootings

New Orleans is becoming very hot, it seems that this city has some difficulties to recover from the hit of Katrina.

Three brothers aged from 16 to 21 and their friend (39) were killed in a neighborhood near the French Quarter.

Another person was killed in a different incident just after the first shooting.

The shootings were the latest round of killings as the city struggles to rein in drug- and gang-related violence that has shadowed the recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

"The spotlight Katrina put on the city showed the real reason for these murders — abject poverty and a poor education system," he said. "We have to go from looking at this as a strict law enforcement situation and take a more holistic approach."

In mid-June, Gov. Kathleen Blanco sent the Louisiana National Guard and state police to New Orleans to help fight crime there after five teenagers were shot to death in a single attack.

Remember that back in the past, New Orleans had a reputation to be a Murder place.

So more than never, you should be careful. People who live in New Orleans must be alert, and look what is surrounding them.
