Self-Defense Act promotes violence?

The Self-Defense Act signed by Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm on July 20 is highly controversed.

It is really difficult to deal with an aggressor or attacker when you know the reality of these situations.

Someone who has already been attacked don't even think an instant to be kind with his aggressor, even if he shows it on the moment.

The law can be against you if something 'bad' happen to your aggressor! What a good law.

You are just coming back from a very hard day, you want to relax with your family, and a man appears from nowhere, you try to talk to him, but he is like a bull and doesn't seem to understand english language.

He try to harm you and you did not let him. Good. Now, may be he is hurt in the 'battle', or you kill him unintentionaly.

Who will go in jail? It may be you! What a beautiful law...

The bill allows people to use deadly force without needing to retreat if a person believes they could be physically harmed, killed or raped. This is granted in any situation he or she has a legal right to be in — on the street, in the store or in the classroom, for example.

For me, if I think someone is armed, I will not let him hit first.

Take care.
